Mission to the ISS
A location-based multiplayer experience that lets visitors explore
a space station, interact through hand tracking and move through
simulated zero-gravity environments.

Multiplayer VR Installation
A shared journey through a virtual space station
Mission to the ISS is an immersive multiplayer installation designed
for exhibitions and public events. Visitors enter the same virtual
environment and experience a journey inspired by life aboard a space station.
The experience combines physical movement, virtual interaction and
synchronized multiplayer systems to create the sensation of exploring
the station together.

and interactive areas of the station.
Inside the installation
Making multiplayer VR reliable for public exhibitions
The experience needed to synchronize multiple visitors while remaining
accessible to people who might never have used virtual reality before.
Movement and interaction had to feel intuitive without relying on
traditional game controllers.
The system also needed to support repeated sessions, exhibition staff
workflows and different physical installations across multiple venues.
Building the systems behind the experience
Multiplayer Systems
Development of synchronized visitor interactions, shared events
and systems requiring both participants to progress.
Hand Tracking
Integration of controller-free hand interaction for buttons,
doors and environmental elements.
Zero-Gravity Movement
Implementation of movement and navigation systems designed to
communicate the sensation of travelling in zero gravity.
Exhibition Deployment
Adaptation, testing and optimization of the installation for
different venues and repeated public use.

A scalable VR experience presented internationally
Mission to the ISS was developed as a repeatable exhibition experience
capable of adapting to different venues while preserving its multiplayer
interactions and visitor journey.
The project demonstrates how Unreal Engine can combine immersive
storytelling, natural interaction and synchronized real-time systems
within a public installation.
